Edna Maye Blair

Edna M. Blair, 77, of Nelsonville, passed away Tuesday, March 2nd, 2004 at her residence in Nelsonville. She was born May 4th, 1926 in Athens County, the daughter of the late Herbert and Hazel Buck Burke. She was married to Gerald H. Blair of Nelsonville for over 56 years. He survives.

She was a homemaker all her life, and was a dearly devoted, loving mother and wife.

Edna is survived by five grandchildren, Brittni, Brea, Rick, Mike, and Mark, five great grandchildren, a brother, Thomas Angie Burke of Missouri, sisters, Luta Russell Carsey of Athens, and Dorris Bacus of Athens.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sons, Gary and Kelly, a grandson, Scott, and stepbrothers Ronnie and George.

At Edna?s request, cremation has taken place. There will be no services. Arrangements are being completed by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville. 740 753-1989
