Mary Lucille Monk

Lucille Monk, 86, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at her residence. She was born November 22nd, 1919 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late Henry and Loni Manley Warren. She was married to Jack L. Monk who passed away June 1st, 1975.

Lucille is survived by two sons, Jack Patty Monk and Terry W. Monk both of Nelsonville, two daughters, Judith A. Montgomery and her special friend Paul Hickman of Nelsonville, Becky McIntosh of Nelsonville, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, a special niece Audrey Dawley, and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Charles, Frank, and Robert Warren, and sisters Marie Coots, Florence Pitts, and Ruth Patton.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 24th, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
