Walter V. Byers
October 23, 1923 — April 10, 2008
Walter V. Byers, 85, of Hamden, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008, at Arbors Nursing Home, in Gallipolis. He was born October 23, 1923, in Byer, Ohio, son of the late Edward and Una Remay Byers. Walter was the widow of the late Frances Saunders Byers.
He was a retired truck driver and a WWII Navy Veteran.
Walter is survived by a brother, Bernard Byers.
Graveside services will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, April 26, 2008, in Radcliff Cemetery with Matthew Chesser officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
