Judith A. Mcgathey

Judith A. McGathey, 72, of Rockbridge, passed away Friday, September 26, 2008, at her residence. She was born October 31, 1935, in Nelsonville, daughter of the late Donald and Beatrice Smith Windle. Judith was the widow of the late Richard L. McGathey.

She is survived by sons, Paul Faith McGathey of Mansfield and Steven Mary Beth Thompson McGathey of Rockbridge; daughters, Sue Ball of Palm Harbor, Florida and Gail Hasty of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; five grandchildren; one great grandchild and brothers, James Windle of San Francisco, California and William Windle of Phoenix, Arizona.

Graveside services will be held 1 P.M., Tuesday, September 30, 2008 in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge, with Rev. Roger Fidler officiating. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in memory of Judith A. McGathey, to the American Cancer Society, Central Regional Office, 870 Michigan Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43215.
