Laura Marie Hunley

Laura Marie Hunley, 84, of Pickerington, formerly of Nelsonville, passed away, Sunday, January 4, 2009 at her residence. She was born January 1, 1925 in Doanville, the daughter of the late Joseph Frank and Bertha Jane Misner Hunley.

She retired from the Brooks Shoe Co. after 44 years of service.

She is survived by a son, Jeff Darlene Hunley; grandchildren, Melissa Hunley, J.C. Kelsey Hunley and Jimmy Hunley all of Columbus; sister, Rosella James Blacksten of Illinois; brother-in-law, Howard Mount of Westerville; special niece, Dianna Mark Kassouf of Pickerington and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and George Hunley and sisters, Leora Auflick, Marguerite Mount and infant sister, Lilly Hunley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Karen Walters officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Wednesday from 1-2 PM at the funeral home.
