Howard Gale Ayers

Howard Gale Ayers, 80, of Hilliard, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009 at his residence. He was born May 31, 1929, in Columbus, son of the late Albert and Hazel Stought Ayers. Howard was the widower of the late Lois J. Compton Ayers.

He was a retired foreman from Suburban Heating and Cooling in Columbus.

Howard is survived by a son, Kenneth Earl Linda Ayers of Columbus; a daughter, Jody Dale Miller of Hilliard; four grandchildren and a brother, Donald Ayers of Gahanna.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Tallman, Dorothea Bell and Ethel Shaw.

Private graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2009 in New Fairview Memorial Gardens. No visitation will be held. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
