Joe E. Ziegler

Joe E. Ziegler, 86, of Rockbridge, passed away Friday, December 4, 2009, peacefully at his residence. He was born November 27, 1923, in Gibisonville, son of the late Wray and Bertha Jinks Ziegler. Joe was married to Madelyn Hoffman Ziegler, who survives.

He retired from Western Southern Insurance Company as a Manager, was a WWII Navy Veteran and along with his wife, owned and operated The Farm Craft Shop. Joe was a member of the Hocking Hills Artists and Craftsman Association and St. John Lutheran Church.

In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his daughters, Patti Terry of Columbus and Joanne Ziegler of Rockbridge; grandchildren, Jason LeMaster and Ricki Wise; great grandchildren, Amber Wise and Brandon Klentz; great great grandchildren, Michael and Nichole and a brother, Donnie Rita Ziegler of Lancaster.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Tuesday, December 8, 2009 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. Janice C. Winters officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Cemetery, Hocking County, with military graveside services being conducted by the Hocking County Color Guard Unit. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 5-8 P.M.
