Bernice M. Ferguson

Bernice M. Ferguson, 84, of McArthur, passed away Friday, January 15, 2009 at Huston Nursing Home in Hamden. She was born May 18, 1925 in Columbus, daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Hicks Fenton. Bernice was the widow of the late Thomas J. Ferguson Jr.
She is survived by a son, Thomas Ferguson III of McArthur; daughters, Janice Richard Ferguson, Lisa David Kirby and Margaret Roger Pettet all of McArthur and six grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bernice was preceded in death by two infant children; four brothers, Wesley, William, James and Robert Fenton and two sisters, Edith Arthur and Mary Jane.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Dr. Walt Goble officiating. Interment will be in Madison Freewill Baptist Cemetery, Zaleski. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 6-8 P.M.
