Edward Leroy Richards Sr.

Edward Leroy Richards Sr., 57, of McArthur, passed away Friday, April 1, 2011 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born July 7, 1953 in Vinton County, son of the late Jacob and Flora Archey Richards. Edward was married to Alice Clements Richards, who survives.

He was a truck driver.

Edward is survived by sons, Edward L. Kaylena Coleman Richards Jr. and Allan Seymour; a daughter, Trina Kenneth Burger; several grandchildren; two great grandchildren; housekeeper, Norma Seymour; brothers, Everett, Bill, Joe, Wayne, Robert and Jim Richards and sisters, Mary Lowery, Jane Sherrick and Rose Butcher.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Graveside services will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Union Cemetery in Vinton County. Friends may call one hour prior to the graveside service at the cemetery. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
