Dean N. McDaniel, 74, of New Plymouth, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at his residence. He was born January 15, 1938 in Vinton County, son of the late William and Lena Newton McDaniel. He was married to Martha Rupe Braley McDaniel, who survives.
He was a retired boiler inspector and a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by children, Robert D McDaniel of Cincinnati, Kristine McDaniel of Kentucky and Tracy (Mike) Bucker of Cincinnati; stepchildren, Jeff Braley of Athens, Annette (Jerry) Phillips of Nelsonville and Janet Newton of Zaleski; granddaughter, Amanda Bucker; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren and a brother, Robert McDaniel of Florida
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., with Pastor Bart Ankrom officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur where military graveside service will be conducted by McArthur VFW Post 5299. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
