Ruth "Toy" W. Dowler

Ruth W. “Toy” Dowler, 87, of Chauncey, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at her residence. She was born July 5, 1926 in Floodwood, Ohio, daughter of the late James and Agnes Covert McKnabb. Toy was the widow of the late Charles Ancil Dowler.

She was a life member of The Plains VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Toy is survived by her son, Jerry L. Dowler Sr. of Chauncey; grandchildren, Jerry L. (Ann) Dowler Jr., Mark E. (Shelly) Dowler, Matthew E. (Bri) Dowler and Misty L. Dowler; great grandchildren, Hannah E., Owen M., Olivia E., Benjamin M. and Levi B. Dowler.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dale, Trigger and Virgil McKnabb.

Grave services will be held 1 P.M., Monday, November 25, 2013 in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
