Joseph R. Cheeseman

Joseph R. Cheeseman, 70, of New Straitsville, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. He was born May 10, 1943 in Nelsonville, son of the late Everett and Ida Mae Coleman Cheeseman.

He was a retired mechanic for Logan Clay Products.

Joseph is survived by his sons, John (Sara) Cheeseman of Nelsonville and Terry Cheeseman of New Straitsville; daughters, Ginny (Rob) Thompson and Kim Weeks both of Lancaster; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; a brother, Homer (Patty) Cheeseman of Nelsonville and a sister, Judy (Joe) Green of Texas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Katherine Bailey.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, December 11, 2013 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Pastor Jim Lanning officiating. Interment will be in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 6-8 P.M.
