Katherine I. Davis

Katherine I. Davis, 85, of Logan, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at her residence. She was born September 22, 1928 in Nelsonville, daughter of the late Cletis “Mike” Mellinger and Cora Green Mellinger Davy. Katherine was the widow of the late David R. Davis.

She was an avid bowler and a 35 years member of WIBC. Katherine also enjoyed playing euchre and doing arts and crafts.

She is survived by her son, Steven M. Davis of Logan; daughters, Angela S. (James) Thomas of New Straitsville and Teresa E. (Lee) Canter of Logan; grandchildren, Brandy (Andy) Ellinger of New Straitsville, Matthew Canter and Jessica Canter, both of Logan and one great granddaughter, Hannah Ellinger.

A memorial service will be held 10 A.M., Friday, January 31, 2014 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Ricci Arthur officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. No calling hours will be observed.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Katherine I. Davis to Hospice of Central Ohio, 109 N. Broad St., Suite 304, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
