Paula "Weezy" L. Hale

Paula L. “Weezy” Hale, 60, of Albany, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She was born May 11, 1953 in Gallipolis, daughter of the late Paul Stanley and Helen Garlic Stanley Britton. Paula was married to Marvin Hale, who survives.

She was a budget and grant research specialist in the Chemistry and Bio Chemistry Department at Ohio University, a member of the McArthur United Methodist Church and she was the founder of Paula’s Hope.

In addition to her husband, Weezy is survived by her son, Jake Hale of Albany; daughter, Marla (Joe) Toner of Chicago and a sister, Linda (Tom) Neal of McArthur.

Funeral services will be held 2:15 P.M., Thursday, January 30, 2014 in the McArthur United Methodist Church, 200 S. Market St., McArthur, with Rev. Dr. Walt Goble officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Wednesday, from 4-8 P.M. and on Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
