Ursula Atwood, 60, of Chillicothe, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at her residence. She was born November 28, 1953 in Idar Oberstein, Germany, daughter of the late Gerhard Kiefer and Helga Moosman Puckett. Ursula was the widow of the late D Lynn Atwood.
She was an RN and a Veteran of the United States Army. Ursula was an active member of the American Legion Post #371 in Wellston.
Ursula is survived by her sons, Donnie (Melanie) Stewart of Waynesville, Ohio, Charlie (Michelle) Stewart of Dundas, T.J. (Rachel) Stewart of Dundas and James (Karman) Stewart of Addison; grandchildren, Jessica (Justin) McEwon, Alyssa Stewart, Katie Stewart, Stephanie (Seth) Simpson, Brittany Stewart, Josh Baker, Miranda Sargent, Shawna and Shawn Stewart, Gabby Stewart, Dillan Mota and Zackory Holsinger; great grandchildren, Christopher McEwon, Alexis Martin, Maven Weaver and Gavin Simpson; brothers, Thomas Kiefer of Londonderry and Wesley “Junior” (Jeanie) Hill of Londonderry and sisters, Heike (Thomas) Brzezicha of Germany, Brigitte (Sammy) Puckett of Chillicothe, June McCloy of Jackson and Karen Hill of New Jersey.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her dog, Bear.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur. Interment will be in Boblett Cemetery, with military graveside services being conducted by the American Legion Post 371. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 P.M.
