David Lee Chaney
July 29, 1952 — June 9, 2014
David Lee Chaney, 61, of McArthur, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born July 29, 1952, in Athens County, son of the late Clifford and Mona Blackford Chaney.
He was employed at the Hocking Valley Community Residential Center as a Youth Specialist.
David is survived by his two sons, Benjamin Chaney and Nicholas Chaney both of McArthur; girlfriend, Norma Miller of McArthur; brothers, Andy (Helen) Chaney of Carbondale, Bruce Chaney of Carbondale; uncle, Clayton Blackford, aunt, Janet Chaney and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two uncles, Ralph Chaney and Leo Blackford.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 PM at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Cremation will follow.
