Charlotte Louise Bailey

Charlotte Louise Bailey, 87, of Guysville, formerly of Nelsonville, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens. She was born September 8, 1928 in Haydenville, the daughter of the late Amos and Mary Pidcock Dowler. She is survived by loving husband of 70 years, Donald L. Bailey of Guysville.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Amos (Brenda Howard) Bailey of Guysville, Raymond (Mary) Bailey of Athens, Marty (Jodi) Bailey of Guysville, Timothy (Tess) Bailey of Circleville, Mary Lou Bennett of Nelsonville, Patty (Homer) Cheeseman of Buchtel; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Clara Louise Bailey; brother, Encil Dowler; stepbrother, Robert Stilwell and stepmother, Mabel Stilwell

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville with Rev. Gary Alton officiating. Interment will be at Connett Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
