Timothy E. Koker, 52, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 in Nelsonville. He was born September 27, 1963, in Nelsonville, son of Shirley Ann Norris Koker of Nelsonville and the late Ralph Koker Jr.
Tim graduated from Nelsonville-York High School and attended Hocking College. He has been the owner of the Mine Tavern for well over 25 years. He was a well respected, active member of the Nelsonville Community and belonged to many civic organizations including the Nelsonville ELKS BPOE #543, the Logan Moose Lodge, the Nelsonville VFW and the Masonic Lodge. He also enjoyed many outdoor activities including hunting and riding four wheelers.
In addition to his mother, Tim is survived by sons, Michael Joseph Koker of San Francisco, CA and Chase Edward Koker of Nelsonville; daughter, Miranda Katelyn Riddle of Londonderry; brothers, Michael L. Koker of Vancouver, WA and Joseph Koker of St. Petersburg, FL.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Pastor David Shoemaker officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Monday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home where the Nelsonville Elks Lodge will conduct a service at 7:30 PM.
