Barbara Ellen Mason, 81, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. She was born on January 17, 1945, in Athens County, Ohio, to the late Derral and Anna (Jarvis) Bryan. Barbara was married for 62 years to James E. Mason, who survives.
Barbara retired from Hocking County Children’s Services.
Barbara is survived by her husband, James; family; and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Judy Thompson; and brother, Carl Bryan.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge, with Rev. Charles Fidler officiating. Arrangements are with the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St, Logan.
