Bert Frederick

Bert Frederick, 57, of McConnelsville, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Bert was born on March 1, 1969, in Wooster, Ohio, to the late Bruce and Blanche (Charles) Frederick.

Bert was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend who loved his family deeply. He will be remembered for the love he had for those closest to him, the memories he created, and the impact he made on everyone who knew him. He also shared a special bond with his loyal furry companion, Buster.

He is survived by his children, Bert Frederick Jr. and his wife, Tiffany of McConnelsville, Ashley Frederick and her companion, Robby Mayle of Stockport, Anna Hougland of Hamden, and Ava Hougland of McArthur. He is also survived by his sister, Ivy Downard; 13 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bruce and Blanche Frederick, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Frederick; granddaughter, Nevaeh Mayle; and grandson, Dontel Mayle.

Bert’s love for his family will continue to live on through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Family and friends may visit from 4 to 7 pm, on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Garrett Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St, McArthur. Interment will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Vinton County, at a later date.
