Bill Raymond Denney

Bill Raymond Denney, 54, of Columbus, passed away at his home on Sunday, November 16, 2025. Bill was born on August 27, 1971, in Columbus, the son of William C. Denney and the late Marlene M. (Baylis) Denney.

Bill loved working in the yard; flowers, gardening, and mowing. He also loved all holiday decorations and often liked them to stay up all year round. Uncle Bob was the only person Bill allowed to cut his hair, and it would often get a little wild in between haircuts.

Bill is survived by his father, William; aunt, Ida (Roger) Swann; uncle, Bob (Kathryn) Denney; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his mom, Marlene, and grandparents, Ivy and Raymond Denney.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Garrett Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St, McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Family and friends may visit from 11 am to 1 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
