Carol Sue Grant

Carol Sue Grant, 85, of Logan, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

Carol was born on March 29, 1940, in Dawes, West Virginia to Ouida Allman Hanshaw and Charles Emmet Hanshaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny W. Grant; son, Charles F. Grant; and grandparents, Berta and Henry Hanshaw.

Carol lived on her own terms and was able to do what she wanted until the very end, a reflection of her determination, independence, and strength of spirit.

Carol is survived by her loving children, Pamela (Mike) Chapin and John W. Grant Jr.; sister, Sheila Kay (John) Dent; and best friend, Linda Cottrill. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Mac (Kelly) Chapin, John “Jay” (Erin) Grant, Karli (Heath) Meyer, Mandy Chapin, and Kayli Grant; and her cherished great grandchildren, Emma, Jae, MaKynzie, Rylee, Johnny, Rayne, Brody, and MaKynley “Sue”.

Carol’s love, strength, and devotion to her family will live on through the many generations she cared for so deeply. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

Cremation will take place, and no services will be held at this time. Arrangements are by the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
