Charles F. Gordon Jr.

Charles Franklin Gordon Jr, 73, of Sugar Grove, passed away at his home on Friday, October 10, 2025. Charles was born on July 17, 1952, in Lancaster, the son of the late Charles Franklin and Barbara Louwana (Freeman) Gordon Sr. He was married to Edna (Barnett) Gordon who survives.

Charles was a 1971 graduate of Berne Union High School, and he retired from Lancaster Glass. He was a member of the House of Prayer in Drakes and formerly Oakdale. He will be remembered as one hell of a Dad.

Charles is survived by his wife, Edna; children, Louwana (Steven) Hoops of New Lexington, Rebecca Courtright of Logan, Betty (Steven) Butcher of Lancaster, and Charles (Lisa) Gordon III of Bremen; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Dennis Gordon; sisters, Judy Selby, Mary (Bill) McGrady, and Lynn Gordon; and his best buddy, Buck.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Zachariah Courtright; great grandchild; son-in-law, Jim Courtright; and brother, David Gordon.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St, Logan. Interment will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Gibisonville. Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
