Daniel Joe Bartow Sr.

Daniel Joe Bartow Sr., 83, of Logan, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster. Daniel was born on December 3, 1942, in Carbon Hill, the son of the late Chester and Mary (Spencer) Bartow. Daniel was married for 46 years to Christy (Hamilton) Bartow.

Daniel served in the U.S. Army. He was a master carpenter and craftsman. Daniel loved to sing and play his guitar and any other instrument he came across. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. And most of all he loved his family and was always proud to tell everyone about his 6 wonderful kids and his beautiful wife.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Christy; children, Sherry (Brian) Howard, Chris Ellis, Daniel J. (Cynthia) Bartow Jr., Scott (Meredith) Nice, Rich (Jody) Nice, and Alisha (Kevin) Fuller; grandchildren, Rainna, Benjamin, and Katie Woosley, John, Travis, and Chelsea Warren, Zachary and Rylan Ellis, Ashley, Daniel Jared, Vanessa, and Joseph Bartow, Haley and Hunter Nice, and Garrett and Joshua Horton; and many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Francie Hannah, Daisy Peterman, Les Bartow, Ted Bartow, and John Bartow.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 6935 Township Rd 234, Logan, Ohio, with Pastor Steve Hubbard officiating. Interment will be in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery, Logan, with military honors by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are with the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St, Logan.
