Daniel Lee Matheny

Daniel Lee Matheny, 54, of Londonderry, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born December 24, 1970, in Point Pleasant, West Virgina, son of Erma Hart Whittington of Londonderry and Harold (Velvie) Matheny of Leon, West Virginia. Dan was married to Kimberly Hicks Matheny, who survives.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by daughters, Danielle (Aaron) Snyder and Cassandra (Jerry) Pittman of New Plymouth; grandchildren, Kersten, Destany and Nathan Snyder and Wynter Wilt, Summer and Autumn Pittman; brothers, Chris Matheny of Washington Court House and Melvin (Skye) Matheny of Huntington, West Virginia; nephew, Daniel E. Matheny; niece, Holly Wilson and special friends, Rob and Mark Vernon, Scott Gerhardt and Danny Brown.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Otis Matheny Jr.

Dan was a loving husband, dad and Popal. He took immense pride in being the owner of KND Transport, where his Kenworth truck was his pride and joy. Dan was an avid outdoorsman, he loved spending time hunting and enjoying the peace of the woods and going to his hunting cabin with his family and friends. His dedication, hard work, and unwavering love for those close to him will forever be remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm Sunday, January 4, 2026, at his residence, 279 Poes Run Road, Londonderry, Ohio 45647.
