Danny C. Eckard

Danny C. Eckard, 80, of Logan, died Sunday, August 3rd at his residence.

Born August 6, 1944, in Newark, Ohio, Danny was the son of the late Charles and Zola Triplet Eckard. He was married for 35 years to Deborah A. Bryan-Eckard, who survives.

Danny graduated from Lakewood High School in Hebron, Ohio in 1963. After high school, Danny served in the United States Air Force from 1964-1967. He was a Vietnam War veteran. Shortly after returning home, Danny worked for Bell Labs in Columbus, Ohio. He then went to work for Rickenbacker Aviation for 33 years, where he specialized in aviation electronics and mechanics. During retirement, he enjoyed flying planes, sail boating, working on cars, making machine parts for people, and traveling. Danny was a member of the Newark Church of the Nazarene.

Danny is survived by several nieces and nephews and sister, Bonnie Ricciardo. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Eckard and Melvin Eckard, and a brother-in-law, Tom Ricciardo.

No services will be held at this time. Arrangements are with the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 East Second St, Logan.
