Edna Lucille Gordon

Edna Lucille Gordon, 71, of Sugar Grove, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at her residence. She was born July 27, 1954, in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Lafe and Betty Ruth Moore Barnett. Edna was the widow of the late Charles Franklin Gordon Jr.

She was truly a one-of-a-kind woman whose strength, kindness, and unwavering love left a lasting impression on all who knew her. A devoted mother, she dedicated her life to caring for and supporting her family, always putting their needs before her own. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. Through her guidance, compassion, and selfless devotion, she created a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she held dear.

Edna is survived by her son, Charles (Lisa) Gordon III of Bremen; daughters, Louwana (Steven) Hoops of New Lexington, Rebecca Courtright of Logan, and Betty (Steven) Butcher of Lancaster; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brother, Darren Barnett of Rockbridge; sister, Patricia (Terry) Spangler of Logan and her best buddy, Baby “Buck”.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandsons, Zachariah Courtright; one great grandchildren; son-in-law, Jim Courtright; sisters, Larua and Ruby; and brothers, Bob and Rick.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Pastor Ronald Hurst officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Gibisonville. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
