Eleanor Jane Smith

Eleanor Jane Smith, 80, of Nelsonville, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born December 20, 1943, in Athens, the daughter of the late William and Martha (King) Clark.

Eleanor is survived by her children, Gena (Brian) Johnson, Jimmy W. Martin, Glenn (Paula) Martin, and Melody Martin all of Nelsonville; 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brothers, Roger Clark, and Jerry Clark; sister, Dixie McCray; and many nieces and nephews.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Joshua Estep; and brothers, Dave Clark, Richard Clark, and John Clark.

Family and friends may visit from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Cremation will follow the visitation.
