Gary Wayne Keiffer

Gary Wayne Keiffer, 71, of Nelsonville, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Kimes Nursing & Rehabilitation, Athens. He was born September 20, 1951, in Nelsonville, the son of the late Wayne Keiffer and Margie (Blair) Keiffer.

Gary served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Rocky Boots for over 30 years.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Amandah Keiffer; grandchildren, Floyd Phillips Jr. and Destiny Phillips; great grandchild, Paxtyn Phillips; sister, Sharon (Jack) Gloeckner; nephews, Brent (Michaela) Gloeckner and Brock (Pennie) Gloeckner; niece, Heather (Steve) Yerian; and good friend, Ron Jack.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 14, 2023, at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, with military honors by the Combined Color Guard. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service on Monday.
