George Sharb, Jr

George Sharb Jr.65, of New Straightsville, passed away on Monday July 20, 2026, at the Ohio State University Medical Center. He was born February 4,1961, in Hocking County, to Annabelle Howard and the late, George Sharb.

George graduated from Hocking County High School, the class of 1979, he then went to the United States Air Force. George enjoyed gardening and had a love for all animals and he could fix anything. He could be working on an engine and then bake a banana cream pie.

He leaves behind his mother Annabelle; brothers, Joe and Georgiann Sharb, Vaughn Sharb and John and Lisa Lanning; sisters, Theresa and Dan Long and Elizibeth Wright and Jon Day.

George was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Rudy.

George’s Wishes were for cremation and no services will be held at this time. Arrangements are with Souers-Cardaras Funeral home 46 Fayette Street Nelsonville.
