Helen Louise Watkins

Helen Lousie Watkins, 71, of Logan, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. She was born on April 20, 1954, in West Union, the daughter of the late Clifton and Virginia (Dunham) Boggess. She was married for 37 years to Jack Watkins, who survives.

Helen would do anything for anyone. She loved her family more than anything. Helen especially enjoyed the time she got to spend with all her grandkids, and playing keno with Jack.

Helen is survived by her husband, Jack; sons, Jeremy (Brandi) Rhoades and Adam (Shelly) Watkins; grandchildren, Marriah Hughes, Elizabeth “Libby” Watkins, Andrea Watkins, Aiden (Alyssa) Rhoades, Dylan Buckley, Judd Buckley, Vada Rhoades, Kimber Buckley, Mckylie “Ky” Rhoades, Paisley Rhoades, and Jaxston Rhoades; great-grandchildren, Dawson, Hudson, and Jason Hughes; sisters, Irene “June” Hill, Linda Compton, and Carolyn (Dick) Love; brother, David Boggess; many step-siblings; and several nieces and nephews who she loved.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Virginia Boggess; sisters, Laura Stout, Sandy Barres, and Sue Hamrick; brothers, Roger Boggess, Clifton Boggess, and Rodney Boggess; and grandchildren, Jeremy Rhoades Jr. and Jasper Rhoades.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St, Logan, with Pastor Bruce Livingston and Jeremy Rhoades officiating. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan. Friends may visit from 11 am until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
