James "Jim" R. Ballenger Jr.

James “Jim” R. Ballenger Jr., 83, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at his residence.  He was born December 2, 1940, in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late James Raymond and Opal Marie Williams Ballenger Sr.  Jim was married to Debra Ann Grile Ballenger, who survives.

He retired from ABF Freight in Columbus as a truck driver after 30 years of service and was an avid wood worker.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his son, Scott Ballenger of Plain City; daughter, Kiffy Brickey of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Bill Ballenger of Pickerington; his faithful companion, Corky and several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
