Kathleen Diane Walker

Kathleen Diane Walker, 70, of Laurelville, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Kathleen was born on March 9, 1955, in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late John Auflick and Beverley (Douglas) Keirns.

Kathleen was a free spirit and lived life on her own terms. She was a deeply caring person who would always go out of her way to help others, and she never met a stranger. Kathleen loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids. Anyone who Kathleen loved, knew it – and she loved so many people. She could always bring out a smile with her sense of humor.

Kathleen is survived by her children, Dylan (Jodie) Walker of Vandalia and Carly (Devan Howard) Walker of Reynoldsburg; stepchildren, Kevin (Katie) Loudin of Detroit, Michigan and Cindy (Seth) Collins of Amanda; grandchildren, Sebastian Shock, Savannah Shock, Harmonee Shock, Violet Shock, Kian Collins, Greyson Collins, Sophia Walker, Harrison Walker, Theodore Howard, Izabel Howard, Everly Howard, Lincoln Howard, Trinity Loudin, and Lucas Loudin; life partner, Kevin Loudin Sr.; brother, Robert (Ashlyn) Auflick of Pittsfield, Pennsylvania; sisters, Kristie (Terry) McDonald of Waverly, “Jake” Smathers of Zanesville, and Jeanetta “Jeanie” Lucas of Athens; aunts, Rita Williams of Galloway and Joy Cooper of Athens; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverley Keirns; father, John (Sue) Auflick; son, Christopher Shock; aunt, Sheila Buffington; and brother-in-law, Greg Smathers.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Souers Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville. Family and friends may visit from 1 pm to 3 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
