Leonard "Lenny" David Fink

April 15, 1947 — July 12, 2024

Leonard “Lenny” David Fink, 77, of New Straitsville, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Pickering House in Lancaster. Lenny was born on April 15, 1947, in Logan, the son of the late Winton Karl and Creta Mae (Stubbs) Fink. He was married for 57 years to Lynda Marie (Green) Fink who survives.

Lenny was a graduate of Miller High School in Corning, where he excelled at several sports. He was inducted into the Perry County Baseball Hall of Fame. He served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968 and was stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Lenny’s first job was at the brickyard in New Staitsville, then after his service in the Army, he worked for Lockhead Martin, Rockwell International, McDonald Douglas, Matthew’s Bar in New Straitsville, and his final job before retirement was with the City of Logan.  Lenny was a member of New Straitsville Masonic Lodge #484, Murray City American Legion Post 0420; and New Hope CMC in Gore.

Lenny is survived by his wife, Lynda; son, James Robert “Jim Bob” Fink of Logan; granddaughter, Chloe Marie Fink; sisters, Karla (Jack) Linton of Newark, Martha (Kenneth) Waugh of Shawnee, Roberta (Steve) McGrath of Winter Haven, Florida, and Lois (Jerry) Love of Crooksville; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at New Hope CMC, 9825 Gore Church Rd, Logan. Arrangements are by the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
