Linda Joann Forrest, 65, of McArthur, passed away Monday, October 19, 2026, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. She was born January 7, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Jack and Carol Colmar Mash. Linda was married to Jerry L. “Buster” Forrest, who survives.
Lind was a vibrant soul who brought warmth and color into every room. Her favorite color was purple; a reflection of the brightness and grace she shared with those around her. She took gentle delight in the quiet beauty of roses, enjoyed relaxing with word searches, and shared endless laughter playing pool with her husband and friends. Above all else, her greatest joy was her beloved family, especially her children and grandchildren, who were the heart of her world and the beneficiaries of her deepest love and devotion.
Along with her husband, Linda is survived by her children, Jeff (Teresa) Coleman, Steve Coleman, Andy (Charity Isaac) Coleman, Carol (Tammy Burke) Coleman, Tiffany Coleman and Derick (Miranda Leonard) Coleman; a special grandchild that she raised, Heaven Coleman and she also had 16 other grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her siblings, Jackie (Jeff Remy) Jones, Cindy (Charles) Stoneburner, Keith Mash and Jimmy (Marsha) Mash; best friend, Betty Parker and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Gabriella “Gabby”, Elizabeth “Lizzy”, Jamar Jr. “J-J” and Cooper-Tray and a brother, Eddie Mash.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2026, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
