Loa Bernice Carson

Loa Bernice Carson, 74, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.  She was born April 4, 1949, in Columbus, the daughter of the late Edgel William and Dorothy (Lucas) Kazee.

Loa is survived by her son, Greg (Susan) Schrader of Sunbury; daughter, Angie (Larry) Stumbo of Creola; grandchildren, Kevin Schrader, Jennifer (Kyle) Gannon, Kali (Matt) Mason, Laci (Sam) Shaben, Brooke Stivison, and Wesley Stumbo; 3 great grandchildren; brother, William (Iming) Kazee of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

Loa was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carolyn Pyles and Lori Dougherty; and step-brother, Steve Kazee.

She retired from a long career at the State of Ohio Department of Wildlife and was very devoted in her faith.

She had a deep love for all her dogs with the most recent 2 fur babies, Tucson and Izzy.  She also found peace in quilting with all her wonderful quilting friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 21, 2023, in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Arrangements are through the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St, Logan.
