Makaila Lynna Haye

Makaila Lynna Haye, 15, of Nelsonville, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.  She was born May 8, 2009, in Athens, Ohio.

Makaila was a student at Nelsonville York High School.  She was an avid animal lover and an exceptional writer.  She had a contagious smile and laugh.  She was well loved and will be missed dearly.

Makaila is survived by her parents, Brandy and Justin Roman; brother, Malakia Haye; sister, Makaiah Haye; grandparents, Grandpa John, Granny Lanny, Nanny, and Maw Maw Cindy; great grandparents, Grandpap and Grandpa; aunts and uncles, Larissa Roman (Elliot), Caleb Rife (Lori), Laurie Rife, and Steve Rife (Elisha); many cousins; a great group of friends; and her beloved dog, Dexter.

Makaila was preceded in death by her Great Grand Granny and Great Grandma.

Family and friends may visit from 4 to 6 pm on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville.
