Marilyn Sue Riley

Marilyn Sue Riley, 93, of McArthur, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Jenkins Care Community, Wellston. Marilyn was born August 8. 1932, in Boswell, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Aloysius and Floribel (Maurer) Turner. She was the widow of the late Lee Wayne Riley.

Marilyn worked as a registered nurse for many years, serving as the Public Health Nurse for the Vinton County Health Department and R.N. for various other places. She was a member of the McArthur Church of the Nazarene.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Jimmy Wayne (Elizabeth) Riley of Wellston; daughters, Christy Giardino of Lancaster, Tammy Ward of McArthur, and Kathy (Jim) Ledbetter of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; 12 grandchildren, Rebecca Riley, Tiffany Buckley, Erica Beaton, Jamie Myers, James Riley Petty, Andrew Lee Ledbetter, Sarah Keeton, Jaclyn Adeva, Angela Petty, Melissa Wong, Ashley Wilkett, and Abby Causey; 28 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Donald Turner and Richard Turner.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the McArthur Church of the Nazarene, 523 N. Market St., McArthur, with Pastor William Roth officiating and the Nurse Honor Guard of the Ohio Valley. Interment will be in Paw Paw Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may visit 11 to 1 Thursday at the church.
