Marvin Lee Mace Jr.

Marvin Lee Mace Jr., 69, of McArthur, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 25, 2025. He was born on April 20, 1956, in McArthur, the son of Ida Elizabeth (Wigal) Mace and the late Marvin Lee Mace Sr.

Lee served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a wonderful uncle and would help anyone at any time. Lee was a member of the American Legion Post 371 Wellston, F.O.E. 2279 McArthur, Masonic Lodge 207 McArthur, DAV 45 Jackson, VFW Post 5299 McArthur, and AMVETS.

Lee is survived by his mother, Ida of McArthur; brothers, Eldon Eugene (Loretta “Sue”) Mace of McArthur and Lonnie Wayne (Lori) Mace Sr. of McArthur; sister, Charlotte Rae (Jerry Hamrick) Mace of McArthur; and many nieces and nephews.

Lee was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the Garrett Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St, McArthur, with Pastor Mark Rood officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery with military honors by the Wellston American Legion. Friends may visit from 4 to 7 pm, Tuesday, at the funeral home, with Masonic services at 6:30 pm.
