Melissa "Missy" Perez-Clement

Melissa “Missy” Ann Perez-Clement, 65, of Nelsonville, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. She was born on August 8, 1960, in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late Quentin Alva and Retha Eileen (McDonald) Perez. Missy was married to Gregg Clement who survives.

Missy loved writing, crocheting, and making crafts. She was well known for her award-winning baked beans.

Missy is survived by her husband, Gregg; sisters, Sharon Hundley and Pam Lyons; sister-in-law, Katie Perez; and several nieces and nephews.

Missy was preceded in death her parents; infant son, Timothy Andrew Clement; sister, Cinda Lou Perez; and brothers, Randy Perez and Michael Perez.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Souers Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville, with Father Peter Stetson officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge. Family and friends may visit from 2 to 5 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.

The family suggests donations can be made in memory of Missy to a vision charity of the donor’s choice.
