Nancy Ellen Brenneisen

Nancy Ellen Brenneisen, 84, of Hamden, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 19, 2026. She was born May 23, 1941, in Glouster, Ohio, daughter of the late Burgess Orlando and Virginia Eileen Nicholson Christman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Carter and son-in-law, Terry L. Woodgeard.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 64 beautiful years to Charles William Brenneisen; children, Martha Brenneisen of McArthur, Brenda Brenneisen of McArthur, Paul Brenneisen of Hamden, Kristina Brenneisen; Charlotte Woodgeard of Creola and Ruth (Edsel) Durham of Hamden; granddaughters, Megan and Nicole Durham and several nieces and nephews.

Nancy was a devoted wife anchored in her faith. She spent 64 years building a home filled with laughter, strength and unconditional love. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, love and family who absolutely adored her.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jerry Griffith Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Prattsville Cemetery, Vinton County. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
