Patricia Ann Calhoun, of Warrensville Heights, transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 18, 2025. She was born on December 12, 1947, in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Charles A. and Alberta V. (Hunter) Brown.
An accomplished woman, Patricia attended West Virginia State College and Tri-C Community College, graduating with an associate’s degree in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at Metro Skilled Nursing for 34 years.
Patricia’s life was far more than her work, though. She was an active member of Allen Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, participating in their choir and nursing guild. Patricia was also involved with the Lake Erie Travelers camping club. She was an avid fisherperson and loved to travel, especially enjoying cruises.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Louis Calhoun; parents, Charles and Alberta Brown; brothers, John A. Brown, Charles W. Brown; stepdaughters, Denice and Vanessa Calhoun; stepson, Ronald Calhoun; and significant other, Mark Lindsay.
She leaves to honor her memory a large extended family: son, Terrence (April) Brown Sr. of The Plains, step-sons Anthony Calhoun and Travon Smith; step-daughters, Andree Calhoun and Khaliah Rollins; close personal son Darnell Ladson ( Tania);
Grandchildren, Terrence (Tina Koon) Brown Jr. of Nelsonville, Seth Kline, and Lakeisha Calhoun; sister, Mary Frances (Nelson Sr.) Parker; nephews, Nelson Parker Jr., John A. (Katie) Brown Jr., Robert H. (Libby) Brown, Alphonso Wilson, and Guy (Olympia) Wilson; cousins, Minnie (Dockie) Leonard, Marietta Brown, Gail Leniear, Bertha Mae Lovelace, Debbie Mickle, Shari Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, Tiera Jenkins, and Michelle (Jimmy) Hicks; brother-in-law, Maurice Calhoun; sisters-in-law, Sandra (Rufus) Bruce and Rita Brown; childhood friend, Charlotte Lacy; close friends Geni and Tim Haggard, Carlton Barns, and her beloved dog, Marquise Calhoun, in addition to many more friends, family, and church family whom she loved dearly.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 12pm-4pm, at the Mediterranean Party Center, 25021 Rockside Rd., Bedford Heights, Ohio 44146. Arrangements are by the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
