Patricia Marie Whitehead, 71, of Glouster, a beloved Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2024. She was born March 23, 1952, in Akron, Ohio.
She was a loved bartender at The Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Glouster, OH where she offered comfort, laughter and “really good drinks” to its patrons for years. Patty spent her career as a bartender. She worked all over Ohio and owned her own establishment in Calhoun, TN. Patty was widely respected by bartenders and bar patrons everywhere she went.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Rosemary Elliott and Junior Lawhorn; grandparents; Mary and Clifford Elliott and Rowena and Charles Lawhorn; brothers, Tommy “Diane” Lawhorn and John Lawhorn; a great-grandson; Elijah James Saylor and many aunts and uncles.
Patty is survived by her only Child Debbie “Rick” Kieffer; 7 Grandchildren; Mary “David” Brown, Rodney “Kelley” Frost, Bryson Cuthill, Nikki Cuthill, Abbi “Joseph” Lewis, Tristan “Clarice” Kieffer, and Avery “Austin” Stillwell; 15 great-grandchildren & her sister, Peggy McGraw.
“When St. Peter sees me coming, he will leave the gates ajar for he knows I’ve had my hell on earth behind this old bar.”
A celebration of life will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #468, 80 High St., Glouster, Ohio 45732.
Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
