Paul Alan Cook, 64, of Carbon Hill, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at his home. Alan was born on January 21, 1961, in Logan, the son of Kay (Turner) and the late Paul Cook.
Alan was a hardworking man. He owned and operated T & A Excavating and was a longtime Ward Township Trustee. Alan was always there for friends in need. He was an excellent father, and he loved his grandkids.
Alan is survived by his sons, Russell Blake of Carbon Hill, Ryan (Amber) Cook of Nelsonville, Shannon (Lori) Blake of Redtown, and Michael (Candace) Blake of Labrador City, Canada; daughter, Candice Cook of Carbon Hill; grandchildren, Mercedes, Kailey, Brody, Anna, Kasin, Cassidy, Treynor, Grace, Lane, Eli, Kayson, Liam, Brady, Christian, Matthew, Abel, Trevor, and McKenzi; brothers, Danny (Wendy) Cook of Starr, John (Summer) Cook of St. Clairsville, and Eddie (Caitlyn) Cook of Logan; sisters, Cheryl Cook of Starr and Amy (Jason) Perkins of Lancaster; and the love of his life, Suzy Cook
Alan was preceded in death by his dad, Paul; son, Christopher Blake; and brother, Terry Cook.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Souers Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville. Interment will be in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill. Family and friends may visit Monday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
