Paul Arthur Wolfe

Paul Arthur Wolfe, 87, of Chillicothe, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025, at Westmoreland Place in Chillicothe. He was born December 7, 1937, in Vinton County, Ohio, son of the late Arthur B. and Hulda Lowery Wolfe. Paul was married for 67 years, to Kathleen Elizabeth Wilbur Wolfe, who survives.

He was an electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Paul was a very talented musician who played multiple instruments for several churches in the area. He thoroughly enjoyed Blue Grass Music and was a very close friend to Ralph Stanley. Paul adored horses and spending quality time with his family, especially his great grandchildren.

Along with his wife Kathleen, Paul is survived by his daughter, Linda Kathleen “Kathy” Downard of Wellston; granddaughter, Brandi Ann (John) Wejman; great grandchildren, Emmerson, Julianna and Cooper Wejman and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siters, Esther Mercer and Ruth Ann Detty.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, September 15, 2025, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Bob King officiating. Interment will be in Wolfe Cemetery, Vinton County. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
