Phyllis Laura Morman

Phyllis Laura Morman, 92, of Nelsonville, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, at The Laurels of Athens. She was born on January 25, 1934, in Athens County, the daughter of the late Emanuel and Grace (Devore) Crabtree. She was married to the late William Roger Morman Sr.

Phyllis was a longtime member of the Nelsonville Church of the Nazarene. She worked many years as a CNA and retired from Hickory Creek in The Plains. Phyllis also enjoyed visits to her son and daughter-in-law in Louisiana.

Phyllis is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William R. and Lara Morman Jr of Batchelor, Louisiana; brother, Ronnie Crabtree of Nelsonville; and several nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; Emanuel and Grace; husband, Roger; brothers, Raymond and Ralph Crabtree; and sisters-in-law, Carol, Dot, and Betty Crabtree.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the Souers Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville, with Pastor Ed True officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
