Robert "Buddy" Wallace

Robert C. “Buddy” Wallace, age 87, of Bremen, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at home. He was born on September 7, 1934, to the late Clendon and Margaret Wallace of New Straitsville, Ohio.

He graduated from New Straitsville High School in 1952. He started working at North American Aviation, Columbus, Ohio, two months after graduation. He served in the U.S. Army from August 1953 to June 1955, then back to North American Aviation until 1977. He then worked for Diamond Power Specialty Corp. till 1982, Rockwell International in Columbus 1982-1988, and McDonald Douglas 1988-1994 until the company moved to California. Buddy was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Buddy is survived by his wife of 68 years, Thelma “Jean” (Angle) Wallace; 5 children, Robert A. (Betty) Wallace of Junction City, Rodney F. Wallace of Bremen, Deanna L. Zultz of Lancaster, Lea A. Goss of Corning, and Lori J. Johnson of Mount Perry; 9 grandchildren, Danielle L. (James) Jewell, Toni (Timothy) Neal, James R. ((Jennifer) Goss, Corey L. (Stephanie) Goss, Michael C. Johnson, Chase M. (Allie) Johnson, Zachary (Hannah) Zultz, Michael Vann, and Kimberly (Derek) Burley; 22 great grandchildren; and sister, Marilyn Dixon of Groveport.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sons-in-law, James Goss and Michael Johnson; brother-in-law, James Dixon; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Tucker and Gladys Kirk.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 6935 Township Road 234, Logan, Ohio, with Pastor Steve Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. Friends may visit on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Church. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
