Robert Kenneth Robinette Sr.

Robert K. Robinette Sr, 91, of Nelsonville, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the Laurels of Athens. He was born on August 21, 1935, in Doanville, the son of the late Harley and Goldie (Speelman) Robinette.

He worked for many years at Chase Manufacturing in Columbus. Robert loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He also loved motorcycles, racing motorcycles, and a good burger and a beer at The Mine Tavern.

Robert is survived by his children, Bob (Mary) Robinette Jr, Linda Secoy, Tina (Ron) Stalling, Ted (Carol) Robinette, Mark (Becky) Robinette, Darren (Tish) Robinette, Tammy Werry, Bethany Zarley, and Robby (Alicia) Zarley; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Debbie Robinette.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack, Harry Jr, and Danny; sisters, Mary, Bonnie, Dorothy, Vivian, and Peggy; and good friend, Dencil Sayre.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the Souers Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may visit from 11 am to 1 pm, Monday at the funeral home.
