Roy “RC” Coleman, 72, of McArthur, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born December 31, 1949, in Pikeville, Kentucky, son of the late Jesse and Pansy Hopkins Coleman. RC was married to Rebecca White Coleman, who survives.
He was a retired Coal Miner and a member of Truth Church in Hamden.
RC is survived by his sons, Roy Junior (Jennifer) Coleman and Bryan (Stephanie Barnett) Coleman; daughter, Paula (Marty) Ousley; stepson, Terry White; stepdaughter, Jamie (Adam) Jones; grandchildren, Stephen, Amber, Cassie, Devlin, Tiffany, Kayla, Chelsey, Audrey, Haylee, Brett, Shelby, Lacey and Greyson; several great grandchildren; brothers, Oydel, Arthur, Luster Dean, Robert, Marshall, Chan and Terry Coleman; sisters, Esther Coleman, Lerlie Peoples and Charlene Peoples and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Coleman; son, Robert Allen Coleman; brothers, Elmer and Jesse Coleman and sisters, Lois Prater, Madlene Ratliff, Christine Newsome, Irene Williams, Hester Coleman and Minnie Prater.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, July 14, 2022, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor James Eberts officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
