Ruth Ann (Daugherty) Jenkins, 88, of Logan, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Ruth Ann was born on April 23, 1937, daughter of the late James and Juanita “Toots” Daugherty. She was loving wife of 51 years to Russell M. Jenkins Jr.
Ruth Ann worked and co-owned Don’s Grocery and Launderette in Union Furnace for 13 years. She was a devoted, loving wife and mother.
Loving mother of Deborah (Jeffrey) Thompson of Logan, Carla (Kevin) Dickerson of New Lexington, Barb Huston of Logan, and Russell (Amy) Jenkins III of Nelsonville; step mother of Vicky (Scott) Blazer of Buckeye Lake, Terri (Brian) Bitler of Baltimore, Patti (Mike) Thresher of New Plymouth, and Betsy (James) Justice of Lancaster; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous step great grandchildren.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents, James and Juanita Daugherty; son, James D. Thompson; and son-in-law, Greg Huston.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E Second St, Logan, with Pastor Doug Stull officiating. Interment will follow in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan. Family and friends may visit from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
